Juanita’s experiment was to make the Metaverse more human, more real. She believed that if avatars could express real emotions, people would connect better. ‘I remembered my grandmother and realized, my God, the human mind can absorb and process an incredible amount of information—if it comes in the right format,’ she said. – Neal Stephenson (Snow Crash)
Inspired by the quote from Snow Crash, my guiding principle as a designer is to help users accomplish their daily tasks while respecting the natural ways we process information. But let's start from the beginning. My name is Sabrina, and I've been working in the tech industry for over 15 years.
I got into coding when a college friend introduced me to HTML and CSS. The captivating blend of logic and creativity hooked me immediately, leading me to switch from aspiring Fashion Designer to Front-End Developer. In 2016, I seized the opportunity to pivot to the design side, and I have been passionately designing interfaces ever since.
I specialize in Enterprise B2C software, with significant experience in the hospitality industry. I have a proven track record of advocating for, building, and collaborating with developers to implement comprehensive Design Systems. I've researched, crafted Information Architecture, and designed complex features from the ground up, seamlessly integrating them into existing applications. Additionally, I've designed new applications, working closely with stakeholders to ensure that the software is user-friendly, scalable, and effectively addresses users' pain points.
I have collaborated with Product Managers, Product Owners, Front-End and Backend Developers, and Executive stakeholders to distill complex requirements into solutions that, while intricate behind the scenes, are intuitive for users to grasp, recall, and use.
